Here are the last two paragraphs of my book, found on page 384. It sums up why I wrote this #p2

I misspoke in the title of the book.  Ayn Rand doesn’t hate Tuscaloosa.  She hates America; the bulk of America that actually supports the economy, military, and real charity. This America bears the brunt of sacrifice in wars, depressions, budget cutbacks and natural disasters. This America rushes into burning buildings to save strangers, it braves inclement weather to restore power and communication for millions of citizens, and it prays earnestly for the well being of all of those who face life as its harshest.

Atlas held up the sky, but Atlas did not float in air. Atlas stood on firm ground shouldering his burden.  The America hated by Ayn Rand and her disciples is that solid ground.  We hold up Atlas.  Let him shrug, we are strong enough where we will not be crushed.

Ayn hates America.  That should be clear.  What isn’t clear is why America doesn’t hate Ayn.
