It should be noted that this is the same man who called President Obama a "skinny, ghetto crackhead"

I stand with Rush Limbaugh and appreciate the massive contribution that he has made to the conservative movement and our nation over the last 25 years. Rush has apologized. But the radical left will never accept it because they despise him and want him off the air. I condemn attempts by radical left-wing organizations and the media to censor Rush and his commonsense conservative message.

Does this surprise anyone? The higher the status and wealth a person has, the more likely they are to cheat?

From Wired

“Occupying privileged positions in society has this natural psychological effect of insulating you from others,” said psychologist Paul Piff of the University of California, Berkeley. “You’re less likely to perceive the impact your behavior has on others. As a result, at least in this paper, you’re more likely to break the rules.”

Ayn Rand Hates Tuscaloosa...And so does John Kasich it seems. In the spirit of Ayn, he turns down disaster relief

Ohio Gov. John Kasich said thanks but no thanks to immediate federal disaster relief Saturday, even as governors in Indiana and Kentucky welcomed the help.

Kasich did not rule out asking for assistance later, but his decision means tornado-ravaged towns in Ohio will not get federal aid now and are not eligible at this time for potentially millions of dollars in payments and loans.

The governor said Ohio can respond to the crisis without federal help and he would not ask federal authorities to declare the region a disaster area.

“I believe that we can handle this,” Kasich said while visiting a shelter for storm victims at New Richmond High School. “We’ll have down here all the assets of the state.”

A True American Breaks Down Where Our Taxes Go!

Chris here reporting live from a 7-11 where the freeloaders are stocking up on lottery tickets and Marlboros.

Now, many of us know the right wing guy who claims his money (and by his rants it seems ALL of his money) is funding the lifestyle of some no good liberal policies.

But let's break it down a few and see if he's right, shall we? I've allowed him to comment on the subject. He was kind enough to take time away from his job at the post office to talk to me about how the government blows our money.

26.3%- National Defense.

I don't mind paying this, as long as taxes aren't raised for times of war. Patriots don't pay extra taxes for our men and women in uniform, you know. And they all hate Obama, too. I talked to a Navy SEAL and he told me they ignored Obama's green light on Bin Laden, called up Bush at his ranch, and he told them to go ahead and do it.

24.3%- Healthcare

Freaking Obama. But remember to tell him to keep his hands off my Medicare!

21.9%- Job and Family Security

Why is the Man involved with my job? That's socialism! And communism! And when it comes to family? Stay away! Unless it's a gay couple across the street who adopted a kid, then go after them, please. It leads to Satanism.

4.8%- Education And Job Training

School is too liberal, anyway. We need to get rid of this as they are trying to indoctrinate our kids into deviant behavior. Some of the facts they teach aren't facts, except for Texas textbooks. Now that is God's given truth. I'd pay extra to have those history books shipped to every state.

2.1%- Natural Resources, Energy, And The Environment

Freaking hippy stuff. What a waste. Next!

1.7%- International Affairs

It better be going to Israel and nothing else. My church said Jesus will be mad if it doesn't.

1.2%- Science, Space, And Technology

Science is left wing ideology. The answer to everything is God. Or what Fox News says.

2%- Immigration and Law Enforcement

Now this I would pay more for so we can kick everyone not like me out of the country. I guess we can keep black people, though. As long as they don't move into my neighborhood, of course. But they should have the same things I have if they work for it as I am not a racist.

.4%- Response To National Disasters

That's a lie. It's more like 234%. I saw the news. I saw New Orleans. I don't even like New Orleans. We should have let the drown!

2.4%- Additional Government Programs

Snort. This is code for welfare, welfare, and more welfare. The only time, and I mean the only time, we should be giving our tax dollars to welfare is if the job creators get in trouble. Because without them, we have nothing, and history shows they know how to manage our money wiser than anyone.

Why Isn't Rush Limbaugh In Jail?

Chris here reporting live from Folsom prison where I am incarcerated for shooting a man just to watch him die.

Was he released early for good behavior? I'm confused, because according to him anyone abusing drugs should be in the slammer. I'll give him credit for admitting he had a problem, but like the right wing mantra of "Let's start a war but I'll be damned if I have to fight it or pay for it!" it seems this applies to Rush's pill problem as well.

The Keystone Pipeline Is A Pipe Dream, Republicans.

Chris here reporting live from your local Shell station. There's a
sale on Slim Jims, Pepsi 16 oz bottles, and alleged sexual stimulants
sold at the counter. They don't work, people. Or so I hear...

Let's rap about the Keystone Pipeline and the hyberbole we are are
hearing from the right wing.

Will it create more jobs? Not really. Cheaper prices at the pump?
Since anyone not conservative are all socialists according to your
party, I'll say "Nyet" to that as well. Obama is destroying the
economy? That's a negative Ghostrider, and he could be saving the
environment as well.

Interesting read about the myth of the Keystone Pipleline below.

I opted for the Twinkies at regular price, in case you are wondering.

An honest and fair eulogy for Andrew Breitbart.....more honest than he would have been

One of the few honest conservatives around....which explains why conservatives hate him, David Frum with a spot on criticism of Breitbart.

“Of the dead, speak nothing but what is good.”

It’s an ancient rule and a wise one, but one that does not do justice to the life and career of Andrew Breitbart, dead today aged 43.

It is impossible to speak nothing of a man who traced such a spectacular course through the contemporary media.

But to speak only “good” of Andrew Breitbart would be to miss the story and indeed to misunderstand the man.

The good was there. Breitbart was by all accounts generous with time and advice, a loving husband and father, and a loyal friend. One of those friends, Arianna Huffington, wrote today: “All I can think is what Andrew meant to me as a friend … his passion, his exuberance, his fearlessness." Breitbart was unquestionably passionate and was exuberant. If by “fearless” you mean perpetually eager for confrontation, then yes he was fearless too, although in a very particular way. Nobody would ever describe Andrew Breitbart as a man of “quiet courage.” He delighted in the enraged outburst, the shouted insult, the videotaped jab of a finger into an opponent’s chest.

Andrew Breitbart was an innovator and inventor, a man who as much as any shaped the media culture of the Internet age. He was present at the creation of the Drudge Report, the Huffington Post, and of course his own popular sites.

Yet perhaps Breitbart’s most consequential innovation was his invention of a new kind of culture war. Until recently, the phrase “culture war” mainly described the political struggle over religion and sexuality. When Pat Buchanan declared a “culture war” from the rostrum of the Republican convention in 1992, he specifically cited abortion, gay rights, pornography, prayer in schools, and women in combat as the outstanding issues.

Those were not the issues that much interested Andrew Breitbart. On gay rights, he held almost the polar opposite view of Buchanan’s in 1992.

In fact, it’s hard even to use the word “issues” in connection with Andrew Breitbart. He may have used the words “left” and “right,” but it’s hard to imagine what he ever meant by those words. He waged a culture war minus the “culture,” as a pure struggle between personalities. Hence his intense focus on President Obama: only by hating a particular political man could Breitbart bring any order to his fundamentally apolitical emotions.

Because President Obama was black, and because Breitbart believed in using every and any weapon at hand, Breitbart’s politics did inevitably become racially coded. Breitbart’s memory will always be linked to his defamation of Shirley Sherrod and his attempt to make a national scandal out of back payments to black farmers: the story he always called “Pigford” with self-conscious resonance.
